The Voluntary Self-Exclusion (VSE) Program enables you to voluntarily exclude yourself from both Casino Nova Scotia properties (Halifax and Sydney). The Program is provided by Casino Nova Scotia and may be an important first step to getting your gambling under control.

The VSE Program was updated as of January 22, 2020 and now includes different exclusion terms (6 months, one year, three years and indefinite), a simplified reinstatement process and forfeiture of wins.

Forfeiture of wins means self-excluded individuals are NOT eligible to win prizes, cash or otherwise.

Please note the updated program applies to ALL enrollees, regardless of enrolment date.

To sign up for the VSE Program, talk to any Casino Staff Member, visit or contact the Responsible Gambling Resource Centre (Halifax – 902-424-8663 or Sydney – 902-563-3797) or contact the Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco Division of Service Nova Scotia (https://beta.novascotia.ca/voluntary-exclusion-banning-yourself-nova-scotia-casinos), which offers an offsite option to complete VSE in both Halifax and Sydney (https://novascotia.ca/sns/access/alcohol-gaming/about/contact.asp).
